Packing Detector — reading the shipping label to attach proof to the order
A camera above the packing bench reads the order number on the label, stores a photo of that moment and writes "packed at this time, on this camera" back to the Shopify order. When a customer disputes an order, finding the footage takes seconds instead of hours.
What it solves
In e-commerce the most expensive dispute is "an item was missing from my order". Warehouses already have cameras, but to find the footage you need to know exactly when and where that order was packed. In practice nobody knows, so hours disappear scrubbing through NVR recordings — or the refund is simply granted.
Packing Detector closes that gap. The camera above the bench reads the order number printed on the label. Once the same number is read consistently across several frames it is accepted, a photo of that moment is kept as evidence, and the order record gets a line saying which camera saw it and when.
When a dispute arrives, the only step is opening the order: the camera and timestamp are right there, and the proof photo is one click away.
The chain can go one step further. As soon as the label is read, the order can be marked as fulfilled in Shopify and the customer notified. For warehouses where packing and shipping do not happen at the same time, that behaviour can be switched off.
