Bloopi — a duel decided by a single question
Two randomly matched players see the same question at the same moment and have seconds to answer. Whoever gets it right takes the coins, the other one pays. One question, one shot.
How it works
All of Bloopi rests on one mechanic: find an opponent, see the question, decide in seconds. We kept the path from opening the app to the first question short, so players spend their time duelling rather than navigating menus.
Technically the real problem is speed and fairness. Both players have to see the question at the same instant, the answer has to be validated on the server, and the coin transfer has to happen in a single operation. Otherwise whoever has the faster connection — or tampers with their client — wins.
The coin economy is the backbone of the game: stake tiers, coins earned by watching an ad, and streak tracking all give players a reason to come back.
- Real-time matchmakingAn opponent is found from the player pool, and the match and duel state are kept in sync across both devices.
- Server-side validationThe question, the timer and the outcome are all evaluated on the server; the client only renders them.
- A fair coin systemThe winner takes the coins and the loser pays; stake tiers unlock as a player's balance grows.
- Social layerFriends list, live online player count, and win/loss and streak statistics.
- Fast entryOne-tap sign-in including Sign in with Apple, with the number of steps before the first duel kept to a minimum.
